...Chi riesce ad affermarsi in un paesino come questo avrebbe avuto occasione di affermarsi da qualunque altra parte… Ma è indubbio che la soddisfazione personale non può essere la stessa: c’è una maggiore soddisfazione nell'operare nella comunità che ti ha dato le origini e lasciare in quel territorio un segno, un segno del tuo passaggio.

...Anyone who manages to prove themselves in a little village like this one would have been able to make a mark anywhere else… But without doubt the personal satisfaction wouldn’t have been the same: there’s greater satisfaction in working in the community where you were born and leaving a mark on that territory, some sign that you have been there.
